Terms & Conditions for Walking Club with The Dog Club

Walking Club

For the avoidance of doubt, ‘handler(s)’ refers to the person(s) who attends the activity with a dog. This should be the dog’s owner or someone who is taking full responsibility of the dog during the activity in the absence of the owner.

  1. If Walking Club is unable to go ahead for any reason including extreme weather, The Dog Club will notify clients by text message. We hope to provide a minimum of 48 hours’ notice but this isn’t possible in every circumstance so please do check your messages. Should this happen, you will be offered an alternative date or refund. Please note that any refunds will not include the 25% charitable donation as this will still be given to the chosen charity.
  2. If a dog and their handler is unable to attend Walking Club, a refunds will only be given when 48 hours’ notice or more is provided. Please note that any refunds will not include the 25% charitable donation as this will still be given to the chosen charity.
  3. Dog’s must be kept on a lead during Walking Club in the interests of safety.
  4. Please remember that dogs and their owners may prefer more space than others. If you are allowing your dog to approach another dog or person, please ask first. The Dog Club recommends that dogs remain a distance of 2 metres apart for everyone’s safety and comfort. Owners who chose not to adhere to this advice do so at their and their dog’s own risk.
  5. Please be courteous when parking in Whittington as it is a small village with limited parking spaces.
  6. Please consider the safety of road users and other pedestrians whilst walking.
  7. Handlers are fully responsible for their dogs while attending Walking Club.
  8. Handlers are liable for any costs incurred during the activity by their dog, themselves or anyone attending with them.
  9. Children are very welcome but they must attend with a responsible adult and remain with them.
  10. The drink included in the cost of Walking Club should be a soft drink or hot drink up to the value of £3 per fee.
  11. Any training advice given by The Dog Club during the activity is based on the information provided. The Dog Club is unable to offer specific individual advice unless a One to One Initial Consultation is booked and conducted.
  12. Individuals are responsible for themselves during the activity even if they become separated from the group. Maps will be provided of the walking route and Lisa at The Dog Club’s phone number is 07776 119762, should you become separated from the group.
  13. Please be mindful that a group of handlers with their dogs could be intimidating to other dogs and people. Please allow members of the public and their dogs plenty of space to pass the group.
  14. Each route is designed to be a gentle walk but may involve varying terrains and gradients. If you have any concerns about the suitability of the walk for yourself or anyone in your party, please contact The Dog Club prior to booking.
